It may not be directly related to chainsaws but in my case it is. I'm so fed up with these plastic cans with the yellow cap on the spout. I just filled the my yesterday and once I got to where I was going to cut some trees a storm knocked down, I look back in the bed and the damn cap is gone. It's happened before but stayed in the bed but this time it must have sailed right on out as I was driving. So that's why I'm here asking you guys what you use. Thanks

There isn't the kind of options for fuel cans that there used to be. That said, I don't have a single can of the new type that vent and pour out the same nozzle. Don't like them. I use wedge shaped cans as they never tip over while being transported. I find used fuel cans all the time at yard sales but they rarely have caps on the nozzles. The cans I use have a vent cap and pouring spout cap that have retaining lanyards on them so they don't get lost. I have heard positive things about the "no spill" push button cans but have no experience with them myself.

The Jonsered/Husqvarna combi can is great, no spill and good caps, space inbetween for plug spanner.
Stihl do one too but I didn't like it as much

I've got 2 of the no spill cans and love them. No issues. A few of my buddies tried the can out and immediately went home threw out the their crappy spill proof cans and got these no spill cans

The husky one is awesome. But I think I prefer a squeezy bottle for bar oil.
This is the one I use, came free with a litre of bar oil! Not enough for a day, or big saws, but a worthwhile addition.
