The 261/262xp hybrid that Randy recently sold to buy cattle ended up on Dad's door-step. He and I have invested in equipment together and he wanted a saw to replace his old 039 Stihl. After running that saw today, I called Dad (on business in FL) to thank him for buying me the saw and to tell him to continue looking for himself... I now understand why people rave about these little saws.

This little thing is a monster and probably has the best power-to-weight ratio of all of our saws...

Randy,
I'm sorry you had to sell this saw, but you're likely not going to ever see it back. It's that good, not that I'm telling you anything you don't already know.

I'm quietly building myself another one. :)
I may have to find another 262 just to have you build a 2nd one... I have a feeling that Dad and I will fight over this like we fought over who got to run the 346xp... :bowdown:What I was looking for in my 562 I found in this 262. Speaking of which Randy, have you talked with John yet?

Locust cutter... I think we are having a very similar day. Mine is very rich for a few tanks. It's got a new piston and ring.
Ported 262xp:

I like to run'em a bit fat for safety. I may actually fatten it up a bit more and adjust the low-side for better response. The altitude and air density is a bit different here than it is in TN...
