Ms 460 with a 36" stihl ES bar and Oregon 63 gauge chisel that's ground square at full skip and a 7 pin. Did my own muffler mod and holy dang that saw rips. I think it would come close to my old man's 066 mag falling saw only in chain speed but never touch the 66 in torque. 460 scares hell outta my kids it so loud but with plugs or muffs they not so bad anymore

I use to b that way about husqvarna until I got a few and started working on saws. If u like a snappy revving powerful saw that will oil a long chain a husky is the only option in stock form, a stihl will do all that also but u gotta work on it a little. I like both and have no favorite, it depends on what u want from a saw.

And deets is correct, there is nothing louder than a ported big husky with a big hole in the muffler.

I've never been around a juiced up husky to know how it feels or how much it'll rattle your fillings, but I'll take your word on that part haha. I know they're good saws, don't doubt that but I was raised up slinging the orange and white and my 460 ain't got a baffle and the hole in the side of muff is same size as the spark screen so it gets attention real quick

That 460 will chip teeth from chatter before a husky rattles a filling loose...way smoother AV, although the new xx1 Stihls are coming along in that department.

I really like a 372 with a 24" bar and Stihl RS. Very well balanced and capable of taking large trees in the 3-4' range.

I'm in stihl country, the biggest stihl distributer in the USA is in town and my freind and neighbor is a engineer for stihl and most of the other people I know either work for stihl or run one for a living. I like stihl and I probably own 25 or more of them but I like all saws it does not matter what color.

I was meaning rattle your fillings as the screaming cut everything big ass saw exhaust rattle. Not trying to bash the orange, just never had a chance to run one that "runs". I've only ever been around stinks and the few huskies I have were well past wore out. The tooth chipping chatter I guess I'm used to as normal operation not having ran anything else to compare lol. Great info for a guy like me who only known one brand out of two great saws. Good back and forth with you full chisel. Oh and I'm a little dense and haven't been able to figure the acrynim AV as I have some others and keep seeing it. So what the hell is AV mean?! Thank ya sir in advance and safe cutting

Jmssaws that's no joke LOL! No wonder stihl don't have them letters cuz some do plenty of it HAHA!! Thank ya for the response sir
