025 oil seal question

IPL has two different PN's for Oil Seals. Anybody know what the differences are if there are any ?

9639 003 1585

The Chinese only sell one type seal for all the 025's

Whatever the difference, it is the same story with the MS250. All the numbers are the same.

The seal (1581) has a clamping ring in the exterior and is to be used when inserting new seals in a engine that is already assembled or when putting seals only in a old engine already assembled.

Interesting. Cant imagine replacing seals on a clam and not "splitting" it. Good info. Thanks.

kinda funny, I have a AM set here I ordered a while ago for another project and went to slide it on because they were here. It folds right over on the space where the circlip goes on. I slid the old OEM one back on just for grins and it slides right over it no problem. The AM one wouldn't slide on even after i lubed it and put some cellophane over the crank end. OEM it will be.
