028 clutch/drum interference

On the 028 OEM clutch I push the carrier out between the shoes, this allows me to tip the shoes sort of like making a V ,this allows the spring hooks to come off and back on much easier. After all of the springs, 3 , are back in place I push/insert the carrier back in place, saves a good bit of spring stretching during install. You will still need a OEM style hooked tool or a good pair of needle nose pliers but using the above method it makes the job a bit easier.
 
Yeah—I just went and looked again, it was reflection or light. All springs look equally dull.

On a side note, I tried yet another clutch and it seemed better. Headed to the local dealer to see if he has springs in stock. Looks like they were used on a bunch of models, from 041 on up, so hopefully he has in stock...
 
That is an interesting comment..... and they have saws and enough crazy people to run them.
