I am in the middle of string trimmer fits right now, I posted over in the hand held equipment forum looking for a cheap source for a ignition coil echo

I guess you tried ebay? They have anything but sometimes you have to wait for a bargain.

yea, amazon and e-replacement too cheapest is $38.00

My next suggestion is to go on ebay and find the Chinese vendors like Huztl or Wangluo 18 and check their stores and see if they have anything. If they don't there are several other vendors that might have one. What model of Echo do you have? I'd be glad to search for it also and see what I can find.

It is a Echo curved shaft ( that does not matter) GT-200R and thanks I don't know much about e-bay . I would not know how to search for someone in particular. The under side of the coil I have says, " OPPAMA" on it

I went on ebay and looks like you're right, they had a few but kinda pricey. Looks like some of the GT200s had points, if yours does it probably would be an easy fix. If it's the electronic ignition the module looks to be in the $30 range which is probably more than most used string trimmers sell for.
