The 7900 is on my toy wish list, but that's partly because the dealer's close enough I could walk there.

I picked up a 7900 last week, ran about 2 tanks so far. Holy crap It's an amazing saw. with the 24" bar it made quigk work of the 25" red oak and 40" sycamore. It didn't bog downat all. I wasn't trying since it wasn't broken in. Pretty light also. I do have 6 Dolmar dealers within 30 min. But any saw matched to the job is good.
I know a guy with an Echo.
He'll let you have it once he's done keeping his Ford from rolling down a hill with it.

it was a tough decision but since i know you like quality i went with the 044!
really i would have voted for the 460 but the 044 would be my VERY close second choice.

I believe you should get a 372. That way you would own one saw you could cut wood with on the days you aren't fixing the 044.
