Haa good eye Spike, indeed snapped lines at 2'-4'-6' but have been cutting for over 30 years , five of which were in your neck of the woods professionally . Miss the Hudson valley,
Catskills,and Gunks.

Anyway you look at it, that is some nice wood. Burned a lot of them a few years ago. My old furnace got so hot it cracked the castings. Makes for some real nice clean heat... Looks like you got a nice pile going...

Wish it was mine.. ;-)
 
Yep, I want to go with Hamish's idea of a crib -- go drive four 5' T-posts in the ground and stack the wood in between. I'm thinking 20" deep and as wide as it wouldn't interfere with your cuts.

Then I want you to post a video so we can scientifically determine which method was faster :D

(We're not demanding about our firewood **** here, not at all...)
