290 Stihl Farm Boss question

I have a very early 290 (only one I have seen with the old style oil/gas caps). Great saw until I ran over the handle with my backhoe. Needs a new handle and air filter cover. It is the early "flat" style case and cover. I can find decent prices on the later style handle and covers, but not the early style. Anyone here know if I can use a late style rounded handle/cover set on my saw?

Yes, you have to get both the handle and air filter to match, and the newer style prefilter
