Hello everyone! This is my first post on here. A friend of mine and i recently bought a set of 291's. He chose a 20" bar with an RM chain and i decided i wanted the 18" with the RM (mine cuts about 20% faster). So after break in these little saws seem to run a bit better than the 290 but you can tell that there is more gusto to be had. I just want to see if anybody has done a muffler mod on these strato motors. These saws are only about two weeks old I don't care about warranty but i also don't want to have to buy a new muffler incase it doesn't like not having back pressure. Also how do you get the limiter caps off? They aren't like the old ones.
