It would still be covered under warranty. Actually it would be covered as a pre warranty repair, the actual warranty begins once the saw is sold.
Pretty much what I expected, but didn't know.

People this is how you do business. The next saw I will be buying will be a wicked work saw.It might take a little while but as soon as I can come up with it.It will be well worth itthe saw is ported so the warranty is only covered by me. being the guy i am ill be taking care of the issue warranty or not.
I think we are talking about two different saws, but I agree that is great customer service.
The Jonsered 2260 and Husqvarna 562xp are the same saw.
And these saws share the same carb... Husq 560xp, 555, and Jred 2258.
Wouldn't it be covered under warranty?
it was a carb issue on the el44,that was easily fixed with a couple of minor tweaks. the el44 is my favorite carb for these saws. i havent seen the el48 in action yet so i cant give an opinion on it.Yes but I was just asking what carb package would be better. It felt weird asking a technical / part number question on here usually its the other way around.
Terry,
Being it is warrantied I'll give my distributor a call and see which one to do.
So was it more of an auto tune issue than a carb issue on the first generation EL44?
