I received a goody package in the mail yesterday via brown truck. Inside contained a Husqvarna 350 and this nice kit. I'll be porting the saw and that will be a another thread. At first glance this kit is very nice. Only one small casting flash issue on the piston but that can be ground off in a few seconds. Here are some pictures for you. I believe Randy has hit a home run with this kit and will have a nice option for those looking to replace a top end.

Really nice looking kit. Combustion chamber has good shaping and there aren't any harsh edges on the ports. Looks to be a plug and play kit.

I c/p the IMG code fm Photobucket on every forum I'm in. The IMG file is the one that opens automatically in any thread you attach it to. It's easy and has never failed to d/l the pic I wanted...resizes too. I think there are other photo programs that are similar but PB has been good. The only thing you have to do is load your photos to PB to begin with.

the bore/plating surface looks like crap. Looks like casting irregularities under the plating as if the mold wasn't filled out enough and then when it was machined there are now low spots and little ripples

I initially thought it might be something like that, that's why I kept my "mouth" shut about it until someone else spoke up....:msp_wink:

It was my bad for not cleaning it first. By no means is it perfect the honing isn't as nice as OEM but it's not nasty.

I'd take another picture but I don't have a camera handy. I'll see how a phone photo works here shortly.
