I can figure out most people's abreviations, but others I don't know. I can't be the only person who wonders about some ot them and it would be good for us to use the same word to describe the same thing. Kinda like a dictionary of tree terms.

DBH is Diameter at Breast Height (4.5 ft)

Here is a few from before
Climber's Specialty Acronyms:

CL -Control Line
CoB Center of Balance
DBH Diameter @ Breast Height
DdRT = Doubled Rope Technique
DRT = Doubled Rope Technique
DNA - National Dyslexic Association
DWT = Double Whip Tackle
DZ- drop zone
FC/TIP - false crotch tie in point
FL-foot lock
kV - 1,000 volts (that's 1000 killer volts!)
KZ - Kill Zone
LZ- lowering zone
LL -Load Line
LonL Leg on Load
MA-Mechanical Advantage
MTip - mechanical tie in point
OA = Overhead (Support) Anchor
SRT = Single Rope Technique
TIP - Tie in point
Z - is the ANSI Z-133 safety standards

Spidey I think there is a typo.

DdRT = Doubled Rope Technique - Coined by Tom D. on the ISA discussion board several years ago to refer to our conventional method of climbing using a doubled rope.

DRT = Double Rope Technique - This is borrowed from other vertical applications. It refers to the technique of using two different ropes, each with its on anchor.
