One more thing, in my opinion if you need to rent a small lift and the customer won't hire you because you had to the pass the cost of the lift off to him and are $200 more, than too bad. Not your problem, he shouldn't have let the tree get that bad. Just my opinion.
 
A number of years ago I made a topsoil delivery with a pick-up truck where the owner gave me a path to drop it off in the designated path. Well sure enough I put one of the rear tires through his septic tank. If my memory serves me correct, at the time he was getting prices of over 15K to replace it... along with the fields and so forth. Doing a job tomorrow where I have to remove a 36" diameter sugar maple which is located right next to an old concrete tank.
