Anybody got a recipe they want to share on how to make power on a 272? Also who makes a velocity stack for them?

Carefully peel off the 272 recoil decal (use your hair dryer to gently heat the adhesive holding it on there)- then sell the saw.
Go buy a 385 or 390 and glue the removed 272 decal onto its recoil cover.
Instant power upgrade.

Yes was looking for timing numbers but prob just gonna base delete and raise roof of intake and exhaust the thickness of base gasket and widen them. Prob give her a couple degrees of ignition timing. Don’t need anything wild, just a firewood saw.

Here's a video of it, the rakers are a little to low but you can see how it did, 13,900 WOT and it has a .040 pop up.

Exactly. Start messing with the ports, screw it up, and it becomes a barn door stopper. Sell it while it still has value, and get a newer more powerful saw.
