Anybody ever have firewood logs delivered?

I know what a cord is but what is a face cord? 4 x 8 by how deep. seems if your wood is only 4 inches long (sheesh that sounds bad) you are getting short changed (christ, that sounds bad also) anyway you get what I mean.

I'd like to get a truck load of logs this winter.... I'd like to get the load then arrange a GTG.... Only 16" long cookies tho!!!! and we'll have a splitting contest too... anybody in??? LOL

What's worse then sawing through frozen mud is logs trucked 150 miles thru salted and sanded roads.

Yeah last week,,4 hrs to burn 3 1/2 tanks of gas,while sharpening my "blade" 11 times.My 90 second tickle is about 10 minutes.My record is 14,16" pieces to form a totally rocked out chain.Got thirsty and gave up
