Bar & Chain combo not fitting

I got this 32" Husqvarna 3/8 .050 gauge 105 drive link bar, and a Oregon 72LGX105G chain for it.

The chain isn't fitting on the bar, it won't sit all the way in the bar grooves but slots in fine at the nose. Keeps getting pinched.

Pics attached, is there something I missed here?

You're not missing anything but to me it looks like the drive links on that chain have been buggered. Excess sprocket wear or a chain derailment is the most common cause of that.

What means buggered?

Chain was supposedly brand new.

The chain is either defective from the manufacturer (less likely) or used (more likely). If used, it was thrown at least once (chain came off the bar) and some of the drivers got peened by the drive sprocket. I've circled a couple of the suspect drivers. Although a file or dremel can fix these, it sounds like the chain was sold as new. Take it back to the seller.

Looking at the wear on the chain rivets in the nose picture I'd say it's been used.
