best non top handle craner saw?

Picking this up tomorrow from Brad. Snellorized, ported 461 (R?) w/ wrap, double dogs, etc...this is my actual saw...28" "light" bar

Looks like a good crane saw. My go to is a 372xp with a 20 inch for crane work. Ms361 with an 18" is also a favorite in soft wood. Like to save the long bars till I really need them.

Also, there is no such thing as a top handled crane saw. Coulda shortened the thread title a bit. Just sayin.

Anyone tried a ported 441c as a climbing saw?

You should get him to do a MS261 for you. I have one ported by another builder here, I run a 20" bar on it. Oh yea i have had one of those ported 461Rs for close to a year now, just wait until it's broke in !!

My 461 sports a 28 es light and is a beast but damn she's heavy.

That's the same bar we put on this one. Pricey, but worth it.

I paid 125 plus tax for mine from the dealer. It was a lot cheaper than what baileys was asking. It did take a couple weeks if not more to arrive. Well worth the price and wait.
