Dennis, I think it's great your building the worlds lightest 500 bikesaw, but what about those chains and saws you were building me? Does this now mean I'm SOL? Or am I gong to have to use my own stuff again?

Dennis,

Do you buy all the chain pieces separately and then build your race chains link by link?

JimL....Not really....I bought 2 pieces at the scrap yard Wednesday...I found in the aluminum dumpster....23lbs. for $23...$1 a lb. otherwise it's a minimum of $5 a lb. at All Metals Co. Don't tell anybody....hahahaha!

While we are talking about the aluminum. I decided to make the head myself, so if an Arkansas hillbilly shows up asking it'll be the one that is still looking for it.

Quality takes time a guess. So he's expecting more now.

Thanks for the introduction. I am trying to talk him and the boy into coming to MI.

Fred

Please continue with bikesaw 101. This is my vote for best thread.

Here's the Keihin 42mm pumper carb that will be mounted on the saw.

That carb looks expensive. 42mm, that's the same size as the piston in a husky 242XP!
How will it compare to my 084? And how would you like it if I kicked your arse?
