Went to buy a 660 and both places were sold out till mid February. They did have the 650. $100 less. Is it worth it or should I wait for the 660? Any benefits besides 4/10 ths of a hp as one told me.

Get the 660 much better saw for the money, hp and heft.

When you're spending that much on a saw, what's $100? Get the 660. I just did. Get it and never look back. Witht the 650 you'd always think, "what if?" And besides, theoretically, you could just open the muffler on a 460 have have near the hp as a 650 at less price and weight. The 650 is a product of EPA crap, like the 575, and I suspect the 441 are. I really don't even consider it an option.

I love my 066 magnum it is about the same as the 660. One of the tree companies have the 650 and they said it is slow and about worthless when compared to the ms 660. I would wait and spend the extra money.

Snap a dual port muffler front on the 066, retune the carb and you are 7.7/8.7 (88%) of the HP of an 088/880.. Not the same torque, but....

A local cutter who runs 460s, 660s and 088s Recently bought a 650 (Because he couldn't get a 660 without a big wait). He says it is good- a little braoder power band than the 660 but not quite as fast.
