I am a new collector:
Poulan 3000 (I bought new 1982)
Homelite Super EZ
Homelite 150
Stihl 039
Stihl 180 CBE
Stihl 009L
Echo CS-590
Echo CS-620P
Makita (110 volt)
DeWalt (20 volt)
and countless weed trimmers in all stages of repair.

I've only just begun, constantly on the hunt. and I agree ebay is crazy expensive.

Just started collecting about a year and a half ago. I manage to use all of them. They’ve all been muff nodded at the very least too.

Stihl 015
Poulan Micro
Husky 445

Rattler 064 with a worked over 066 top end.

I have around 60. But that includes around 40 that I don’t plan on keeping. I’ve had hundreds of saws come and go over the past 20 years of this hobby . I like the best of what all the manufacturers made, and in my opinion those saws are from the late 70s to late 90s.
HOMELITE SEZ, SXLAO, SXL925
Poulan S25DA, PP 330, 3750, 3700
Husqvarna 42sp, 268xp, 272xp

Jred 2171
Stihl 026, 038 magnum, 044 10mm, 661

Just wait, you'll get there. Before you know it you'll find yourself driving 8 hours to pick up a truckload of saws and carcasses that you don't need just to get 1 or 2 saws out of the lot.
Well I have drove 4 hour round trip twice now, does that qualify???

I didn’t consider myself a collector, because I only have two saws, and that’s only because I just bought my second one. However once I thought about it I realized I actually have seven currently! 😂 I guess I wasn’t thinking of/counting electric saws (do they really count? Lol), forgot about the one from my grandfather, and the other two from an estate that I was given. So far I have Craftsman/Remington/poulan electric, and craftsman/Husqvarna/2 Stihl in gas varieties. So I’m going to back up Brufab as 40 y.o. still counting as young-blood! My normal use is an MS361 I’ve had since 08, and I just purchased a nice condition 084 for when I need something bigger.

My oldest saw is an old Homelite Zip. Ran one when I was a kid. Have a vintage Echo 302S that I run occasionally, and several more modern saws with chainbreak, etc. I have Stihls, and Husqvarnas. I use all of them occasionally.
