Just finished cutting up the butt ends of a couple of trees that came down awhile back. Took the Stihl 045 as I wanted to make short work of it. What a workout. I don't know what this thing weighs. I can't for the life of me ever see where there would be enjoyment lugging that hog around in the woods all day. Makes me feel like a man when I fire it up. It does a good job of cutting when I put her to the wood. Are the newer pro logging saws lighter than this?

Weight of the saws.

Yes the new pro saws have come along way from back then. The new saw around that size would be the ms 460 or 660. THe 660 weighs about 16.5 pounds and the ms 460 weighs about 14.6 pounds. You would defiently notice the differnce between the new saws and the classic saws.
