Hey guys, I have an Echo cs352 and need to replace the clutch assembly; one of the springs broke and chain won't stop at idle. Anyway got it off ok but can't get the clutch drum back on. It needs to go between the clutch and a springy metal band housing and I can't get it to go in there. If it were solid and not flexible it probably wouldn't be a problem. Honestly, I don't even see the need for the housing. Has anyone done this repair before and have any tips or tricks to get the drum back on? I'm not opposed to using a hammer if necessary, lol.
Thanks, Mark

Well, what you're showing is the clutch assembly. But now that you say it, I'm guessing the flexible band is the chain brake. So maybe I have the brake on and it needs to be released. Will have to try that. Does that sound right?
