Can you find a video that I can pause without stuff blocking the screen?

It appears to me at second -10 from the end there are the low and high-speed screws. Which the title here autotue-mtronic does not have.

You can see the pockets on the side of the piston, but we already knew they have strato saws now.

Some sort of choke eliminator? It isn't like the choke time really impacts overall productivity imo. Added complexity because their user base and knowing when to take the choke off do not mesh well?

Is the starter cord really that large of a diameter in that model?

Pump the bulb and pull the starter cord. Note they do not use the terms purge or primer. Is there an actual primer as opposed to the flushing new fuel into the carb before the metering equipment?

Echo doesn't try to compete with Husky or Stihl based on performance. They do so based on price and why wouldn't they be cheaper as they are in general 30 year old designs. Great for the cheap bustards and Luddite crew.
Whatever this system is its not like Mtronic/Autotune as the carb still has adjusters..

  1. Start Assist: Say goodbye to the choke. Starting the 4010EC is as effortless as it gets. Pump the primer bulb and pull the starter chord. That's it. Plus, the saw is also equipped with a momentary switch (kill switch), which means it's always "on" and the switch is used only to cut the engine when your job's finished.
  2. Idle Assist: Maintains stable RPM during idle periods, ensuring consistent performance.
  3. Acceleration Assist: Provides enhanced acceleration by increasing fuel supply when required, meaning you won't get bogged down during difficult jobs.

Is it just an electronic choke or is there some throttle/timing automation as well?

The 4010 is a homeowner level saw so it will be the Home Depot customers beta testing this feature. These are the types of people who struggle to start their saws, then try to run them cold, then return them to the store in frustration. This technology could benefit this customer the most.
