Used to do evertything with a Jred 630 or 670. I got older and the saws got heavier. Still great for bucking but not so for limbing. Got a little Echo CS346 for that and love it. Feather light and plenty of power (muffler mod) makes clearing brush and limbing a breeze. If I'm felling small diameter trees (12" or less) I'll even use the Echo for that but will usually buck with one of the bigger saws. The 630 in preference.

My main saw is an 1983 husky 61/272. Also carry a husky 350 and a husky 480 for the bigger stuff, it's wearin' a 28" bar and a skiptooth chain on it.

I run a Dolly 510 and a 6400. I have a 16" on the 510 and a 20" on the 6400 most of the time, but some times i put the 28" on if needed:msp_biggrin:

I bring the 2159 w/ a 18" b&c. For all the limbing and smaller tree felling. And a 2172 with a 24" b&c for any big stuff. Really want a 2153. But I can handle the weight of the 60 cc saw fine for all day cutting.

Thats a great real-world 2-saw plan there with the 510 for average-sized and the 6400 for medium to large-sized wood. Not the quickest, but not much that combo won't handle.
The 510 I find is an under appreciated firewood saw here on AS. Its one of Dolmar's better selling models around here, judging by what I see in saw shops.

doesnt that 24 cramp up your back ? i just keep a 32 on the saw so can stand upright ,and not be so hunched over ,nice for limbing too dont have to reach so far

I think so. I have not run in to anything I cant handle yet! I love my little 510, I've never run a 5105 but for a firewood saw I think the 510 will do just as good. Although I am wanting to upgrade the 6400 to the 79cc oem kit soon? CAD I guess! But i would say i use my 510 alot more than the 6400. Good little saw!
