Had to split some kindling for the year and couldn't find my Fireside friend to get it done. I was in Tractor Supply the other day and they had an X15 chopping axe. On the back I saw the X11. I love the X25 and X27 so figured the X11 had to be great for what I needed. The fireside friend does a good job but gets heavy after a while at 4.5 pounds. The X11 is only 2.7 pounds.

Long story short I ordered one and it should be here by the end of next week! Any one else have one of these things?

I've got an X15. Great axe, nice for kindling and razor sharp of course. Good for chopping the odd tree out of the way on the trail too. It's got enough handle for a good swing, and is light enough for kindling duty. And I love the head protector too of course, I can keep it on the back floor of the truck without worrying about the kids slicing a leg off by accident.
