I don't understand the advantages of only using 11 1/2" of a 15" wide monitor screen.
I wish some smart guy could explain to me why it is so much better this way............
I think most people would agree that it is a rather moronic use of screen space

I can't wait to get home and see it on my 27" monitor, probably a 5 inch wide grey stripe on each side....sweet!

I've read so many posts like this today and it's got me baffled. I got none of that stuff. Are you guys on Mozilla or Explorer?

Definately different but makes my eyes hurt too. At least it's not bright yellow. May get used to it in a few weeks.

I have the same stripes on sides on my 15.6" using XP W/Explorer Trubrite Toshiba if that makes a difference

I'm not sure what my resolution is, it's a big arsed 32 inch screen.

I get it in all 4 browsers - Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome.

S'no big deal. Every other vBulletin forum I'm on is new like this one and they all have it as well.

Push CTRL+ to make it full screen. Made a difference for me. If you dont like it push CTRL 0 or - to go back.

I just changed my screen from 100% to 125% @ bottom right corner and it filled those side bars. Everything is bigger.

What about it is hard to read??

OK,

1. The small green print on the white background has little contrast.
2. About 1/3 of the screen (right and left side) is in black borders that do nothing other than force the print to be smaller.
3. I wear glasses for reading. However before I could read the monitor without the glasses and having to sit very close. Now the print is small enough as to make that very difficult.
4. I am old and cranky and like to b!tch.

Hold control then press "+". If it gets too big then hold control and press "-". See if that helps.

Blackberry which I used a lot to check the forum is almost useless. Loads way to slow and is definitely not a plus for mobile devices.

I have expressed my view on a couple now.there is one thing i would really like to know.
