Suppose it depends on the value of your kit to you is it worth risking an expensive bit of kit for an unknown for sure couple of dollars worth if that of doubtful oil
I've decided to save this sample of fuel mix oil and bar oil for occasional lube as needed. Burning it as a fuel mix in an engine seems rather risky. A few ounces of prevention might save a pound of engine cure.

Funny when i was about 12 or so my older brother wanted to change the oil in his mini bike. So he got it warm like pop tought us to. Drained the oil and refilled the sump with the "must be special since its blue oil". And ran it. To my amazement it ran till the story finally got back to my dad about the special oil used. Atleast a week of abuse and still ran. As odd as it is the oil was still blue but seemed like wd40 obce it was hot in the sump.
