I pumped Gas at an Atlantic station in 1953.
I think the price was 19.2 cents a gallon, and then increased to 19.5 cents.
Down the street was an Amoco station.
Their Regular was called "White Gas".
It looked like water and smelled different than Atlantic.
I was told it was "No-lead".
Sportsmen burned it in Coleman Lanterns and Camp Stoves.
It cost a penny or two more than Atlantic Regular.
Happy New Year,
Nevin
