Hi
I have been looking for a used chainsaw and ended up with the Husqvarna 357 XPG (with black fuelcap), how do I check that the chainsaw is a good buy or just a goodbye?
I have a sawmill from woodmizer and I want to cut my own timber in the wood for my sawmill...

I'm a rookie into chainsaws so I need your help....

Cheers Jan

It would be good to do a compression test. You should be looking to get around 150psi for a good running saw, the higher the better. Pulling the muffler off will allow you to view the exhaust side of the piston and the intake wall of the cylinder. You want it to look clean inside, no vertical lines (signs of scoring). A good inspection for any missing, or non functioning parts.
