How to tell differences in 038's

I picked up a 038 minus the top covers and clutch cover. It looks in Nice shape. The handle is all metal and under the flywheel is a (Magneto ?). Is there any way of telling what it is? 038 038M 038S I don't want to pull the cylinder.

Pull muffler measure bore in Millimeters post measurement. The magnum is 52 mm
