I own a husky 3120 that will not shut off . I choke it to shut it down .I have checked the switch and the wire that runs from the coil to the switch both are good . Anyone have an idea of what could be wrong? Other than no shut off the saw starts and runs fine.

The switch grounds the coil. If the switch is bad (open) or if the wire is faulty anywhere between the coil and the ground, then it won't shut off.

If the switch and wire check out, then I suppose it's possible there could be an internal break where the wire connects to the coil. But I'd check the obvious stuff first.
