Hi everyone! I Finally got to join this forum, after alot of red tape. Anyhow, I have a Husky 66 with a 20 inch bar. Let me tell you, when it is sharp, it ain't for the faint hearted. It throws hunks, not chips. My Question is, do any of you brothers have any experience with this saw? I have been sawing for 40 years as a homeowner. Stihl 041 for many years. This 66 is twice as strong as the 041. Its almost scary. At least to me.

Welcome.

The 66 is a detuned version of the 266/268 family. I couldn't find any power specs, but I would venture a guess of somewhere in the neighborhood of 4.5hp. They seem to be well liked by those who own them. There power isn't going to wow most members here, but they will certainly put their share of wood on the ground.

Where are you located at in NC?

4.4 hp, same top end as the later open port 268 (not se, xp or special).

There recently was a long thread on this topic.
