I have a 1997 husky 36 chainsaw.
The chain continues to run after I let off the throttle.
Any advice on whats wrong with this saw?

What is going on is the idle adjustment is too high. Turn it down and it should stop spinning. I am not referring to the H and L but the main idle. The H and L might be off a bit but there mainly for fine tuning.
Good luck, if you have more in depth questions post again.

Big D you were right! I just went out and adjusted the idle
and it runs like new. You were a big help. That saw was downright dangerous the way it was running.
THANK YOU
