The GZ4000 surely isn't 54cc - misprint?

I wasn't implying that the redmax was 54cc - it is 40cc. Did you look at my last mule at it again thread? Craftsman 3.3 or Poulan 335 = 54cc It really is a good blend of both worlds. Light enough for smaller wood & strong enough to bury a 16" & not feel like its under powered.

The 545 is a great saw for the money, but I'd rather pay a bit more and get the XP. The 543xp is all together different and will be smaller/lighter. I'm looking forward to this one.

545 - 10.8 lbs - 3.35hp, 3.06 cu. inch ($100 or more cheaper than 550xp)
yes to autotune, quick release air filter, combined choke/stop/,no revboost, fuel level, retained bar nuts

550xp - 10.8 lbs - 3.75hp, 3.06 cu. inch
yes to autotune, quick release air filter, combined choke/stop/, revboost, fuel level, retained bar nuts

. . . I'm still thinking 545 instead of 543xp


How small do they make the Techlite bars? Maybe can get the 545 down to closer weight to the 543xp.

Like I said the 545 is a nice saw, but might as well get a 550xp for the same size/weight, but more power. If ya want smaller/lighter the 543xp is the one & all old school.
