That's interesting as I have seen many carbs with diaphragms like that.
I agree, I've straitend up many saws with just a carb kit.It revved up like it should after idling for a minute.
I sound like a damn parrot around here about rebuilding carbs as one of the first steps in troubleshooting. Most assume the carb is ok if the saw idles, runs and cuts without dying.
I'm not an expert about autotune carbs, so I'm wondering if that problem with it loading up was letting it run lean in the cut?
Different saws have different tolerances for this. This was causing the diaphragm button to pull down unevenly, and it wasn't springing back up as fast as it was supposed to.That's interesting as I have seen many carbs with diaphragms like that.
