Huztl Flippy Caps?

What's your experience with these? I rebuilt a Stihl 025 basket case that required a new case and flippy caps. Bought them from Huztl. Finished saw leaked fuel badly from cap. Tried another Huztl cap with same results. Have not tried OEM yet. These flippy caps are prime candidates for the "do not buy from Huztl" list. Anyone else tried them?

Yeah, they fail pretty quickly. Oem are like $3 so not worth it for me in the least.

I tried a oem flippy in a hutzl tank, leaked bad.
Hutzle cap is a real pain to get off and on, but it doesnt leak.

I tried 2 new Huztl caps on a Huztl case and both leaked badly. Tried several times, pusihng down hard to expand the o-ring before turning. Still leaked in a stream.

I think the real problem here is lack of quality control. Huztl buys parts from several sources in China, and there seems to be a very casual approach to QC. When you talk about a particular Huztl part, you're talking apples and oranges. Some are good, some are not, depending on the source and the skill of the worker. And that's the problem. . . you can't depend on getting a good product.

They are junk: avoid at all costs.
As expensive as OE are, at he moment the only alternative are used parts from spare saws.

As stated earlier it's not always the cap's fault when you have a leak, could be the case around the cap cracked or made wrong.

I hope so. Nothin better then your cutting and need to fuel up. Go to put cap on and it wont seal back up again. The end of cutting for the day.

Very True, but I used a Huztl MS460 tank and a Huztl Cap and it leaked, I switched to a oem cap and no leaks.

I've bought some of the Chi com flippy caps before and about a fourth of them wouldn't work, just seemed like they weren't put together right, ended up throwing them away.

True. New Huztl case and two new Huztl flippy caps. Which is the culprit? I'll know when I try a Stihl flippy cap. I like the screw in kind sooooo much better.

Same here. I gut rid of my 290 and 390 Stihls and kept an 039 because of that..

The screw in cap on my 660 kit doesn't work. The gasket does not fit the grove and the cap does not look round.

I think they would be crap just like the rest of the crap that they make.
