For the 2014/2015 season

This is some of downed ash trees that are mine to take at my own pace. My buddy did some tree work for this homeowner (a really nice guy!). Homeowner just don't want to see the wood go to waste, so after meeting him, he's letting me take as much as I can handle - no rush.

If I hadn't shattered my elbow and had surgery in July, I'd have had more done, but I'm already lying to my physical therapist.

That is pretty cool, how many rows you got there, I count 13.

Nope. It's 10 rows.

Regarding the space between rows - I did that so I could drive my vehicle between them and make a turn at either end of the rows without driving in to the trees or the other side of the unmowed part of the field. It took a little planning but I didn't want to kick myself later when it's time to harvest the piles!

How much wood are you burning through that OWB per year? I hope not that much shown in the pics. That's an impressive array of stacks !!

Personally, I like the looks of your stacks.

As for the pretty ones, well, mine are almost there. :msp_unsure: I had to cover them due to the relentless rains we were having though. Anyway, those two piles are my 2014/15 through 2017/18

FLHX I have no reason to believe that you don't have the nicest stacks around, and your wood piles are pretty nice also! (Sorry couldn't resist)

Nice photos everybody. I am behind on my own wood, but I have 5 cord to sell. Weather report calls for 40 percent chance of rain Friday in my part of the country.

You must be related to spidey. If not he has some competition now.

I wasn't thinkin' that far ahead, I spaced mine so the 38" deck on the ol' John Deere would fit between... then I went and bought a new grass cuttin' machine with 48' deck :bang:
The wife still laughs about that every time I mow...

That is pretty funny, and I only laugh cause I've been there.

(Repost from Woodpile/splitting thread) Right two rows and two rows in the rear are fireplace/furnace wood for next year. I've got another 5 cords of dying/dead aspen to drop later this fall to replace what I burn this winter.

The forked birch with the dead hanging limb was threatening my privy and shed. The main part broke off about 40 feet up last year and narrowly missed the privy. I dropped it recently and it met my new Fiskars x27 last weekend. Sauna wood for 15'-16'. The balsam on the ground to the right of the shed is fire pit fuel next summer/fall.

This should be the stack I take from winter of 2014-15. I have lotsa cords elsewhere of ready right now wood, but that particular stack is only up on pine logs so I want to use it up. Mixed everything in that pile, about three cord. Pic not as clear as I wanted, wicked pretty full moon just up over the middle of the stack, peeking through a hole in the trees there and just clearing the roof of the greenhouse at that angle. Oh well, I tried, you can kinda sorta see it. Had to wait some days now for this shot, too...Follow that lightbeam toward the trees and it ends in a round thing..full moon. funny how the camera did that effect, but I took three shots, all came out like that, and this phone no real exotic settings, just snapshots really.
