lickity log splitter Questions

i just got an old lickity splitter and I'm trying to figure out what year it is. The only numbers I found were stamped on the HYD Ram. E877D is on the HYD. It has a wooden base that the ram and engine sit on. Guy I got it from believes it was from the 60's. I saw on other forums that you are suppose to run 30wd oil in the HYD system. Is that all year models or just the older ones. Any help would be great...
