i was just sitting here looking in the catalog to figure out some other ones that fit what you needed. I've spent the day working on my computers getting the network up and running again and slacked off on doing my real job.

next size under that one drops to 16cfm but it would still be an 80 gallon tank and only saves you $350 or a 17cfm 80 gallon for $400 less but it has an aluminum pump body with cast iron cylinders.

Id rather have more than less. I like the one you first suggested.

air compressors are like garages. you never hear anyone say that they wish they would have bought smaller.

True story. I will say the jump from a 60 gallon, 15cfm/5hp unit to a 24cfm/7.5hp unit is huge...in terms of performance and cost.

For a normal shadetree, the 60 gallon, 15cfm/5hp is a good balance of performance and value. Unless you are into autobody work, or are running a 1 inch impact or sandblaster, you are just spending $1000 for capacity you won't ever use.

Or you can buy it Stihl livin'

Yes I could. To be honest though I have 2 ported saws and 2 to be ported soon and I don't even heat with wood. I'm sure most people think I'm nuts but it's just something I like. And thanks to some members here on AS I have ported saws that I really didn't need but hey they are way more enjoyable.
