MS880r Deal....

So what the hell is wrong with the Montana Stihl dealers. Even the recommended Saw Shop -- Steve's Saw Shop in Lolo/Hamilton (area) wanted to stick it to me.

I still can't quite believe that the 28" bar was $89 and this 41" bar is only $17 more. I should be picking that bar up next week, and once it is in my hands I will believe.

I don’t care if it is a glitch or what.
I’ve bought three and felt the same way each time.
I’ll believe it when in hand.
The last time there was the 10% sale I didn’t know about and when I saw $101 and change TOTAL!!!
I’ve PMd a LOT of folks looking for a good 880/048/075 bar about these and I don’t think many believe me.....

I guess that makes sense. State line and all, so the district is different. Still, at the same shop, how can a 28" bar (0.050 3/8") be $89 and the 41" bar (0.063 0.404) bar be only $17 more (both are RS tips)?

And Baileys wants $500+ for the 59”........yup......41” is the way to go.

Basically there is a rent in the Time/Space Continuum.......

For the longest time after Stihl reduced their piston prices they were still pre reduction price in my area. Good thing I knew where I could find other chainsaw nuts to ship me a few pistons.

Impressive.

I almost had this saw sold this morning. Still might happen. I like the idea of working with this saw, but I do have the 461, so this saw is redundant and way overkill for my needs.
