I have received a bunch of info from this very forum but have contributed very little so I figured I'd post this. Bought a used SS last weekend and I needs a hitch for it because it will always be stored inside. Plan is to tow with my ATV to my splitting area in the backyard. I didn't want to pay $80+ for the SS version and I didn't want anything permanent on the splitter that would be in the way or burried under the pile of splits. So, my design uses u-bolts to make the height adjustable and a simple 2" receiver that accepts a 3' tongue.

Nice simple and clean look!

Those Kenda Bear Claws on the quad?

Yep - like them so far. I went one size bigger than stock and they rub a little. Huge improvement over stock - especially on the the Honda that doesn't have a diff lock. My other two ATVs are Polaris Sportsmans and they are far superior at pulling logs with my arch even though they are belt driven automatics. The independent suspension and diff locks make all the difference.
