Heck yeah

Next time I come and visit my sister in West End (not far from you) I'll bring my 372.

Sounds great! I was hoping for a stocker or muffler modded so it would be closer but I can run the 440 and the 460S. I doubt my DP 440 can touch a EHP372 but I know the modded 460 pulls hard. I would like to run that 5100 also. Shoot me a PM next time you are close!

I was just watching the vid. I took of that same cut -- very impressive. Love the way the chips just pile up.

I don't remember if you had a chance to lean into that 460 but I know XJ did, it pulls really hard. It still has a few more rpm to go due to break in.:dizzy: :dizzy:

Looks like the Ne346xp was the true standout there, what type of chain was on it?

I never looked but seemed to be a standard full comp chain......

True standout? I'm seeing Stihl's at the top........:hmm3grin2orange: Other than the ported 460, XJ's muffler modded 361 was the most impressive saw there I thought.

i used 2 loops of chain for all saws, one was 16" and the other was 20". both where new, out of the box, untouched LGX i bought from Amick's for under $15 bucks.

Something must be wrong with your 361 (or your chain) - getting beat by the 621 and 346xp....:censored:

..or did you happen to have an 8-pin on it????

The 361 belongs to a friend that was way to hot from new(over 15K), after I turned it down, it runs 13,500-13,700 now. The owner is not keen on tuning saws or sharp chains so it runs low....Chain was sharp though and I think it had a 7 pin......I will look

It could have been faster but XJ's made up for it.:chainsaw:

Doing some timed cuts with a friends 361 it ran best tuned to about 14250 when stock.

After we opened the muffler up it liked 14500. It dropped ~2 seconds in 15" poplar.

That was my first time cutting cookies so I could use some improvement, LOL. That 361 now belongs to me so I will be "lakeing" the muffler soon and retune. I will try the 14 and 14.5K then. I should have kept that log to make a few more cuts but it's in halves now. Maybe the next gtg Wanabe can port the 621 muffler and see how she runs, should wake up a bit.

I'm not a cookie cutter either.:givebeer:

Should be fun. His saw was still 4 stroking a bit at 14.9k.:chainsaw:

ok, i will give sweetpea some slack. i felt he was ??? your efforts as he ??? mine.

i do agree with him and many run best at 14,200-14,300 but many saws could be differant.

Mine (Euro one, still stock) was at 14.280 when it performed the best, but a couple hundered lower didn't do that much difference.

Will have to start over again, when the Andy muffler is put on.......:)
