need help identifying this fire wood

this wood is very green looking inside very light soft wood and had a thorny grey bark can anyone tell me what it is

Hard to tell without much of any bark but I would lean towards sassafras.

the bark looks just like black locus but its a very soft light wood more like beach wood bark with thorns and green inside

Beech is heavy with small growth rings from my experience
