New 044 tank handle

Has anyone tried one of these? My 044 tank handle busted on the bottom from years of stress (before I got it). I have only found 1 used tank handle on the market, it is $95 and pretty beat.

This looks like an aftermarket replacement. I am curious if it is better quality than a very used OEM unit.

I bought an OE Stihl 440 tank from a local dealer sometime in the last couple of years for about $110. Have you priced one from a dealer?

All you're going to find new is 440 tanks that use a flippy cap.

I'm accustomed to the flippy caps at this point, and actually like them!

I just need something to make my expensive saw work again. I would prefer a screw cap just to be consistent with the oil tank.

There are people who have used tanks around...with the screw in caps. You just have to be patient
and know how to use the personal message service

As far as I know, there are no aftermarket tanks for the 044/440 available yet. Did you call them and ask if it was A/M or OEM?

Those are OEM from Stihl in Brazil or Mexico.

Thank you Jacob j. I will see what the dealer wants for a new oem part from the US.

I contacted tree stuff, and they said it comes with the flippy cap.
