Of course its not his fault for not knowing how to drive, its yours for putting the mowers there.
Yup, I'm a lying, cheating bastard out to screw everyone every chance I get.
None of the above unfortunately. Last thursday a guy popped his truck in reverse, remembered something else he needed at the store, forgot to put his truck in park, jumped out and his truck drove into the front of mine and hit a couple of mowers (my shop is across the parking lot from a hardware store). He's flipping out crazy after hearing from the insurance company the $$ in damage it caused. And he decided to pay us a visit to speak what was on his mind. Crazy day!
He thinks we're out to make money on this claim, committing insurance fraud and fattening our wallets. He damaged 2 push mowers and the hood of a tractor. All parts plus labor came to $600 and change to make the proper repairs, one of the mowers was "totalled" as the rear tire of the truck came up onto the front of the push mowers deck. And on top of that, I've had to spend almost a couple hours on the phone dealing with his insurance company and claims adjusters (which they have been nice and easy to work with), and I still have to take the time to go get the stinkin truck repaired.

It just bugs me to be called a crook for no reason. I was very nice to the guy when I found out about everything. He came over and admitted to what happened, told me how it happened, gave me his insurance information. I didn't act out or give him attitude after finding out what had happened, just said thank you for telling me, we'll get it taken care of. That's what insurance is for. There are people out there leeching off the system or price gouging, true crooks. I'm not one of them.
There's a lot about this guy that tells me he's not just upset with himself :msp_sneaky: Long story I don't want to get into, but I've found out a bit about the guy.
