so at a customers house today i spot a stihl rollomatic 28" bar laying in the dirt, so i ask him about it and he says it is a old spare he will never use and i am welcome to it, being the pack rat/ hoarder that i am i coundt resist and took it home, the sprocket is clogged with dirt and a bit of rust, and there is a little bow in it. i think i can get the bow out with a press but do any of you guys have a secret method of bringing a old sprocket to life again?

Replace the tip. Barring that, pump it full of grease and keep turning it. After a while it will fail and you will need to replace it.
