I just picked up a nice, used 346XP. Runs great but needs a new bar and chain.
We have ~10 acres and I'm in the process of clearing 2-3 acres of it for a new horse paddock. Mixed hardwoods and pines, average 10-18" diameter, occasional 18-24".
The 346XP will be replacing my 18" 350 and I have 20" 455 and a couple of 14" saws.

16" or 18"?
Opinion?
Suggestions?

Thanks!

It's a personal preference thing , but many recommend 16" bar on 50ish cc saws . I agree wholeheartedly . For me , it's all about chain speed/RPM's , especially with a screaming 346 :hmm3grin2orange:

You put an 18 on this and your 455 be used by whoever helps you. If you actually plan on using the 455, then I would get a 16.

I have an 18 on mine as it came with it. With this particular saw, I don't think you lose all that much vs some other saws (like my ms250).
