Bought a 1995 Ford F250 4x4 today. The 1992 Ford Explorer 4x4 with 305000 miles just was not liking the trailer loads of logs I haul and we found filings in the transmission today. Oops! The 1995 Ford has 351W with an automatic, everything works and is really straight. Picked it up for $2000. Simple farmer pickup with rolldown windows instead of electric, and floor shift for transfer case instead of electric motor shift. Pretty good shape all around. Will make logging a whole lot easier. Will try to post pictures of it on here soon.

Your new F250 should work a lot better. What motor did you have in that explorer? It sounds like you definitely got your miles out of it.

Had a 4.0 v-6. Second motor though. Original engine sucked middle cylinder on LH full of dirt. Put a used 1 in at 156000 that had 49000 on it and it still runs good with 198000 on it. It will use 11/2 quarts of oil in 3000 mile oil change. Been a really good dependable vehicle, just hate pulling trailers on gravel roads with it because the back window that breaks from the smallest of rocks.
