I broke a Stihl .325 063 chain last week on the 260. It shot out of the saw and landed in the river never to be seen again. That is only the second chain I have ever broken.

Well I am feeling a little low now.....................

I just got a red mark in my rep list.............Just one word...sniff...
in the reason box.......sniff.....

He....He called me a "RETARD!!"

I.I. I. I don't know what to say..............

ahhh fish i still heart ya,

do you honestly think that giving the guy a couple of chains is paying him off? I think that Oregon who probably has millions of chains out there and sells a boat-load every day just guaranteed a repeat customer... I am sure that a bad link will slip through occasionally... and also think of this ... how many people on here read about this and now are probably gonna buy Oregon chains in the future. Its called customer service... ( I think been so long since I seen that) It's the way companies used to act toward their customers... kind of refreshing.

I had to, it really hurt me...............

I am quite sensitive, as you know...........

As far as Oregon goes, they are a good company with a good product.
And as any good company, they stand behind their product.

It is also refreshing that they let their tech guys post openly on the forums,
not many companies do, or at least bother, as I have found, most
companies avoid any input directly from the customer.

No, I was proud of that one, but I think it was getting to Bruce, besides I
needed room for "Retard".

I am still mentally imaging the "group hug" suggestion................

Kind of scary...........

LOL, You keep it up and your gonna run out of places to put names in your sig.

I almost came back with "nanny-nanny-boo-boo", but I didn't want to
hurt anyone's feelings.....

This is very theraputic, to get all of these emotions on the table.......

I feel better now.....

Still a little weak......... A tad fragile..........

But with your all's help, I think I will make it.....

I am sure he didn't mean what he said, he was just "territorial" over his
thread. My dog Luke gets mad when the neighbor's dog comes over and pees
on our truck/car tires, he takes it personal........

As far as Oregon Engineer's feelings, he is tough as nails, a veritable "John
Wayne" amongst the other engineers.

Seriously, Stihl would have replaced the chain as well, as well as Carlton,
marked it up under "good will"
